About Us
Giltraps Pub in Kinnitty, County Offaly is a landmark building in the centre of this picturesque village, at the foothills of the Slieve Bloom mountains. Dating back to the seventeenth century when it was originally a hotel, Giltraps Pub is now a family run operation managed by the Clendennen family.
Whether you're looking for an open fire after a days hiking in the Slieve Blooms, want to have the craic or chat about GAA with the locals or you're simply looking for the ‘perfect' pint of Guinness, then Giltraps is the place to go.
Giltraps has been awarded a number of accolades including Black & White Scotch Whisky Heritage Pub of the Year, James Joyce Pub of the Year Award and the highest recognition in Pub Spy Review by the Sunday World newspaper.
Whether you're planning a drinks reception after your wedding ceremony, a birthday, anniversary or simply a get together with friends, Giltrap's are happy to cater for your groups requirement and will assist with any food or entertainment preferences. Minimum numbers apply.
Giltraps offer two large plasma screens showing all LIVE sporting events from GAA and Rugby, to the Premier League. As an "Official SKY Bar", there is a full selection of channels including all the Sky Sports High-Definition channels, aswell as surround sound commentary.
During the winter months, there are regular card tournaments organised and new players are always welcome, with some great prizes on offer including bottles of wine & spirits, vouchers and chocolate gift packs.
