About Us
Kane’s is Traditional family run pub for over a quarter of a century, located on the main street in the picturesque town of Athy on the river Barrow. It is our family policy that Margaret or Paul are present front of house during trading hours., we are committed to ensuring that your visit will be memorable and worthy of a return visit.
Located two minutes walk from the railway station in the heart of the town. Athy is well serviced to most destination by public transport.. Kane’s is a popular Irish pub, a quiet pint in the lounge by the open fire, watch the races or the match, or maybe just a quiet chat, sit in the beer garden read a book and listen to the birds singing. You can even play pool or have a game of darts.
You can hire our function room FREE of charge for a party, (from 18 to 100) or for any social occasion. Quiz, Theme Night, Christening, Funeral party , Fund raising events etc. We can provide you with a range of food options, a band or DJ if you need it. We cater for up to 200 people, It has its own bar and can be entered separately from the Lounge /Bar.
In addition to the bar we run a bed and breakfast on a small scale, should you have the need to stay over after a party.
