The Platform Bar is located in the award winning Station House Hotel, Kilmessan, Co. Meath. What once was the ticket office for this busy railway line now serves as one of Ireland’s finest family owned bars.
It serves a mouth watering bar menu daily and is renowned as a meeting point before and after the prestigious horse races in Fairyhouse and Navan. It is also frequented by golfers playing in Royal Tara. It is warm with lit fires and cosy décor - It really is a great escape.
There is complimentary transport available for large groups who wish to have a few drinks and dine. The Station House Hotel has won many awards including AA Rosettes, listing in the Michelin Guide, Georgina Campbell recommended and Failte Ireland Approved.
There is an outdoor extension of the “Platform Bar” which is the actual train station platform. It is heated and also has umbrellas. A function room known as “The Carriage Suite” is available with the “Carriage Bar”. This area was where the trains used to be re-fuelled - it has come a long way since then!!
