About Us
Tom Lenihan, Proprietor, masterminded a refurbishment in 2006 while still maintaining the “olde world charm” of the pub. There are many nooks and corners where one can enjoy that quiet drink or meet friends old and new.
At The James Griffin we are a team of dedicated professionals and our aim is to always treat customers with the respect they deserve. We acknowledge that you have chosen to give us your business because you believe in us, a trust we will always honour. We are committed to exceeding our customers’ expectations and to delivering the highest quality of work possible. We will work with our customers and we will build long relationships that will span many years. We will grow through referrals from customers who have become firm believers in our commitment to customer service.
There is a large beer garden with heated smoking area and lively music where our award winning bartenders will “shake and stir” a cocktail of your choice. We recently opened our new bar to the rear of the pub. This stand-alone bar opened at Christmas '08 and is aptly named “The Steeple Bar” as it overlooks the beautiful yellow steeple in town – another historical sight to visit! This new bar is ideal for private parties - with its authentic stone interior and open fires it is an ideal location to celebrate that special occasion.
